Complaint against misinformation and dispute in date of policy
Sir, I am S Natarajan (Cell 9489873745) holder of {olicy No.01702986 taken in Dec 2008. As the above policy will be maturing in 2018, I was advised to take another policy by your customer relation manger Mr. Iniyan (Chennai Office) who approached me in the first week of June 2017. During the negotiation, I told him that I am 63 years old and he suggested one time premium of Rs.50000/(maturing after 10 years) and insisted in immediate payment to avail of the benefits and accordingly I paid Rs.50000/(Rs fifty thousand) on 29.06.2017 through R T G S the same was acknowledged in Proposal no. NUP 17253629 {Ack No. 10305000} Later it was informed that i have to undergo medical test and the same was done on 01.07.2017 (Mere BP and urine sample were collected), After 10 days I am getting a message that my policy enforcement takes effect from 11.07.2017. As the Company has already taken my money towards policy on 29.06.2017 m I am entitled to enforcement from 29.06.2017.
When I contacted your Chennai Office, every one in that office is speaking in the same voice and no plausible reply could be given by anyone for the delay of 13 days in giving enforcement. My question is why I had not been informed in advance that I have to undergo medical test? In such a case the result of my Master Health taken on 26.06.2017 could have been utilised (This fact was conveyed to your representative) With the above date of enforcement from 11.07.2017. I tend to loose in future the benefits of risk cover in the event of any untoward happenings by thirteen days. Hence I request you to change the enforcement to 29.06.2017 or cancel the policy without any deduction. If my request is not considered favourably, I may be compelled to take the matter to IRDA for redressal of my grievance.
Premium payment failure on due date
If my premium was due on February 2019 which I couldn't pay... Will I be at loss if I pay it within one month of due date.
