Dhl has a very poor service, even after 15 days they are not able to deliver the courier to my place.

i posted a parcel to IMPHAL but stuck in clearance in dheli...they have sent 3 requests to the receiver asking for ID of name and address. he has stated 3 times the spelling on the parcel has one letter missing and the letter U should be a V. the still send him further messages asking for ID.! they could send me the sender an email and i could confirm his name...that name will correspond to his ID. this has happened because in the agents office the guy wrote the address on the parcel and has made a mistake.

Also the receiver is a guy at university which he has just started and is staying at his uncles house. so he has no current form of address ID.

first, why was i not told that this form of ID would be required from the receiver when i posted it? its a suprise gift so he never knew it coming. second why can DHL INDIAN staff with their experience not find a solution to this.

Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of Uddhav Beriwala,by proffesion student, studying in Boston,USA. We have sent the important (house hold used items) shipment from kolkata to Boston,USA. on 18.08.2022.Already co-operate with DHL officials by submitting all supporting paper works as per the DHL officials demand.But still today not yet received any final confirmation date from DHL officials.

We are extremely upset with DHL service when we had to wait almost 16 days for this shipment from Boston,USA. I have communicated so many times through mail as well as over phone to DHL officials regarding this matter specially when they knew it that he is a student (student documents submitted) & the shipment is for personal use but till today not yet received any solicit conclusion from their end.We cannot expect this kind of service from a reputed Brand like DHL. DHL should told us at the very beginning that they could not send it within time then we could find another way for the shipment.We have wasted our time with DHL for this important shipment.
