I had very good impression of the company, but am getting disillusioned with the goings on regarding reimbursement of hospitalisation bills.

The 1st time I presented a bill for reimbursement, the company took very long to reimburse me.

The 2nd time I presented a bill, it was rejected on a flimsy reason of stay not long, and the reason that I had to be hospitalised was for tests, which I found very unreasonable on the part of the company, which makes tall claims that "bills will be passed in 30 seconds", just to attract new customers, and which I feel is contrary to its tall claims.

The 3rd time when I presented a bill, the company reimbursed me for ONLY THE HOSPITAL BILL", when I presented all the other bills, without giving me the reason why the remaining amount was not passed, even the break up of amount sanctioned and not sanctioned NOT GIVEN. ONLY WHEN I CALLED UP CUSTOMER CARE, I was told to put another request, this time less than half the amount was sanctioned and NO REASON OR BREAKUP OF AMOUNT SANCTIONED AND NOT SANCTIONED GIVEN.

Only after calling and enquiring I was told that BILLS WERE NOT PRESENTED, which i find ridiculous, in that I AM NOT A FOOL TO KNOW THAT, IF THE BILL IS NOT PRESENTED TO THE COMPANY, I DO NOT EXPECT ANY REIMBURSEMENT.

I made it a point to check all the bills, put them together, made a index of all the bills with the amount and then couriered it. I think and am sure someone at the receiving end "removes bills, so that the company pays a less amount. I was only paid the doctors charges, the other amount for the tests, and medical bills was not paid, reason being that the bills were missing, which i find ridiculous.

Even no explanation was received by me from the company. I am sending a complaint, and this same letter to irda, explaining my experiences with the company.

I got cancelled the policy because my location don't have any network hospital but Max Bupa heath is not return my full amount 8163 which was paid by me i requesting you to kindly refund my remaining amount which was 25 % amount 2042 rupees please do the needful. team timely response otherwise support to legal process and acceleration complaint higher authority and IRDA.

My wife was diagnosed with Dengue and was advised by treating doctor to get admitted before condition worsens even more. Even after submitting all the documents my claim was rejected informing that the treatment could have been done through OPD consultation.

I want to understand who on the earth loves to get admitted in the hospital without any illness and are the treating doctors idiots to get the patients admitted without any reason?

I am very disappointed by Niva Bupa's service and waiting for a response from them which if I do not hear will port my policy to some other reliable Insurance company. Company doesn't have a helpdesk in the entire city to assist customers face-to-face neither anyone to assist with the claim settlement process. Only thing what customer care promises on the call is that you will receive call from so called "Claim Samadhan" Department which you will not receive in your lifetime.

My claim ID is 1088996.

My 2 cents to new customers "Think twice if you want to go with Niva"

You are absolutely right. These Niva Bupa people are bunch of looters and fraud. They did not accepted my claim stating that I have to waiting period of 1 month in case of Porting also. But as per IRDAI if the policy is continues, there is no waiting period. But they rejected. So i chose to once again port my policy back to HDFC Ergo. NO Trust on NIVA Bupa.

This is Inform that till date I haven't received the Claim. Claim Amount not settled till date..Claim I'd..1151157. My policy no is 32112582202200. I was already sent the additional documents 11 jan 2023 by Courier the name is DTDC EXPRESS LIMITED..The POD no is T16825699. And today i have received the same additional documents required massage. But I was already sent same Documents..What happened this is the big issue..pls check and revert as per as possible.

I am writing this email with immense frustration and disappointment regarding the ongoing issues we have been facing while trying to claim a Mediclaim for our patient. It has become a source of extreme harassment for not only the patient but also our entire family. We strongly believe that the way our case has been handled is completely unacceptable, and we feel compelled to express our deep dissatisfaction.

Our patient, Mrs Sarama.B claim Id: 1449364, has been undergoing medical treatment at AASHRAY HOSPITAL, GOTRI, VADODARA, GUJARAT-390021 under the care of Dr. SMEET BHAVSAR, MD, MEDICINE, Consultant Physician (G-32224) and both the hospital and the doctor have diligently responded to all your queries to the best of their abilities. Despite their prompt and comprehensive responses, it is baffling to us that your Organization continues to raise repetitive questions and create unnecessary obstacles in the Mediclaim process.

The timeline of events is clear: a Mediclaim request was submitted some days ago, and the emergency for the same patient was registered a week later. We have been loyal policyholders with your Organization for many years, paying our premiums diligently. However, the treatment and claims process have left us deeply dissatisfied and frustrated.

We fail to understand the purpose of having a Mediclaim policy with your Organization if it only leads to harassment to a Senior Citizen and undue stress during a time when we should be focusing on our loved one's recovery. The repeated queries and delays in processing our claim have not only caused emotional distress but have also raised questions about the effectiveness and customer-centric approach of NivaBupa Health Insurance Organization.

We urgently request that you investigate and rectify the handling of our case, ensuring that all relevant information has been provided and that the Mediclaim is processed without any further unnecessary delays or inquiries.
