I am trying to change my vip lock but in last procedure my reset button is not sliding back to its original position. Help me out please.

I never expected something of this sort from such a reputed brand. This bag with model number- STTISW81BLK that i bought before moving to Canada from India got damaged on my first trip. The stitching on its top came off. I don’t know what should i do with it now as I cannot be taken anywhere because anything from it can be stolen easily with that big space on top. I’m also attaching pictures for your reference.
