Dear Sir,

I had booked a hotel stay in the Kumarakom Lake resort for 2 night stay in December for 29th-31st night 2021. The above booking was done via a third party app Booking.com at the above property.

I had keyed in my card details on the Booking app and accordingly got the booking confirmation from the site for the above resort…Booking number - 3328081352

Since I had a change of plan prior to the above dates, I called the resort directly and informed them of the cancellation. The person at the front end confirmed that the same will be taken care of.

Subsequent to this, I was surprised to see my credit card statement debited with approx 84000 Rs on account of stay at the Kumarakom resort.

When I reached out to the hotel, the GM,conveniently informed me that reversals were not possible,since I had booked the same through a third party app-Booking.com. On pressing the matter further I mentioned that I did call to inform the resort about the cancellation, the hotel said,that it was non refundable.

I checked with my hotel industry friends, and found that reversals can be done and are at the prerogative of the Hotel at all times.

Since the amount is big and clearly the hotel is not cooperating and refunding the same, reaching out to you for taking the matter with the Hotel Management of Kumarakom lake resort and getting the same refunded.
