My handset with serial no. H6AKCV00F9117GJ had an issue of purple spot on the top right hand corner which spread on half the screen and spoiled my handset.

When I took the handset to the authorized service center at Jaipur, they kept my handset for 2 days and returned by saying that this is Customer Induced Damaged ( CID) and the repair is chargeable.

This type of response was not expected from the organization like ASUS because if it has been CID, there should be some scratches on the LCD screen of the handset while there was not a single scratch on the LCD. There was damage ( a crack ) on the bottom right hand corner of the cover which was long back and I didn't even claim for it because it was my fault but about the coloured spot which is not my fault and is technical issue to be addressed under warranty is chargeable for me and that too quite a handsome amount being an expensive handset.
